What I put in the catalog is
Work on an experimental project of your choice in mechanics,
acoustics, electronics, etc. Credit and level of technical expertise
is dependent upon student project. Prerequiste: Permission of
instructor.
Students (or pairs of students) research and implement
an experimental or computational project of their choice.
This will work more as a collection of tutorials than
a single class, though depending on the size of the class
and logistics we will meet as a group to share progress reports.
I can suggest some ideas for projects, but really this
is a forum for you to work on areas that you are interested
in and have some background in.
