General Physics I
NSC325; Sci217 (4 cr), Introductory, Hisham Qayum.
Part I of a full-year introductory algebra-based physics course. First term topics emphasize Newtonian mechanics. Prerequisite: None

Introduction to Astronomy
(3 cr); Introductory, John MacArthur.
An overview of what we know about the solar system, stars, galaxies, and beyond, including some outdoor observations and projects in the observatory. Prerequisite: None

Waves
NSC326, Sci217 (3 cr), Intermediate, Hisham Qayum.
An examination of mechanical, electrical, acoustic, and even quantum wave phenomena, including coupled oscillators, combining waves, and Fourier techniques. Designed for sophomores in physics. Prerequisite: Calculus and a year of general physics.

Quantum Mechanics I
Sci217 (3 cr), Advanced, Jim Mahoney.
First semester of a junior-level full year quantum mechanics course, including Schrodinger's equation, angular momentum, spin, perturbation theory, and all sorts of other cool stuff. Prerequisite: Facility with math through at least differential equations, other physics courses beyond the freshman level.
