Various materials relating to the chaos course.
I recommend this short C program,
Sample_C_Program.c,
which has comments at the beginning telling you how to compile,
run it, and see a plot of the results. By making a copy of
this in your own directory and editing it you can do all sorts of
fun stuff.
There's now a another short C program which does the logistic map,
in code/logistic.
You can look at some of the complicated 2-dimensional maps
with the complicated X-window program "dstool." See the printed
manual, or run "xdvi" or "lp" (printer) on the files in
/usr/local/src/dstool/docs/.
